Opera browser becomes favorite for 90 million internet surfers
Opera Software is celebrating this holiday season with more cheer and enthusiasm. The reason behind this is that their flagship browser software – Opera is used by 90 million users from round the world. Opera Software, a Oslo, Norway- based company started innovation in the browser software space about 15 years ago. At one time, it is was a serious contender and a preferred alternative to Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator. Of course, those were the days when there is no Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. Opera Software ASA CEO and co-founder Jon von Tetzchner is proud of the achievement and the journey so far.
Being a cross-platform browser, Opera is available for mobile phones and other networked devices. In fact, Opera Mini and Opera Mobile are the most popular mobile phones and smart phones browser. Opera Mini 4.2 is the latest edition while Opera Mini Beta 5 is out for testing. Opera Mobile is now in its 10th Edition Beta 2 phase.
